I think Ill wait on that one, they say you shouldnt buy a new model car, or bike its first year of production, but this is its own animal, for now, Its old fashioned gas for me!!

I'll go on record as saying that these things will never go mainstream.
Why? Where are you going to get the hydrogen? Proponents of this source claim that it is a clean burning environmentally perfect little fuel that only leaves a little trail of water vapour behind. Realists know that the best way that the chemical industry has of comming up with H2 is through the Haber Process which requires cracking methane gas in a steam environment at over 900deg.C. This process consumes an incredible abount of methane to just heat up the gas to be cracked plus heating the steam to go along with it. This process gives off ALOT of CO2 at the point of manufacture. Any small H2 leak in you vehicle would be a bomb. H2 fuel cells are heavy to manufacture and limited in range. There are many reasons why it will never fly, not least of which is the cost of natural gas: It was $1.50 GJ 6 years ago when all of this nonsense started. Not it is over $7.00 U.S!

Aye. I think the Biodiesel / pure vegetable oil fueled vehicles are a good way to go.

We could start off by converting that nifty NATO-spec KLR650 diesel bike!

For additional info, consut the hindenburg disaster in your history books. That'll give anyone second thoughts on hydrogen

When we run out of gasloine, I'll convert everything to run on alcohol. Diesel holds no interest for me, too heavy and slow to react to throttle inputs......
