Easy way to fill up for once

What's the hassle with using two hands? If you aren't using your left, I'll take it

I can fill up my tank with one hand.

If it works for you, great! If the other reason is to cram an extra couple of miles from a tank full, it does seem a bit pointless on a bike that get 74 mpg, like my Rebel. Maybe when I get my CM400 restored it might be worth checking into, but for now I'll just top off like I normally do.

I have never had the nozzle click off when filling my tank. what you do stick that nozzle all the way in?

no cause I stick the nozzle just far enough in to keep the gas from going everywhere and I keep it touched to the side of the "entrance". We dont have those gay recovery nozzles either.

As above, no. Stick just the end of the nozzle in, rest it on the inside edge.

Your product is a nice, tidy way to fill up quickly without needing to pay attention to the little details of filling up (seeing the level, don't drip/spill, touch the edge to ground)...ie, adds convenience. But I don't really think I'd haul around the ring to stick it on a nozzle each time I fill up. I have too much crap strapped to the bars and random places that I wouldn't need an additional thing to carry, unpack, use, repack. I know, call me lazy....or weird. For me, these days, the least I can get away with carrying/using/manipulating to get any task done - the better.

Note:

None of us are saying that contraption is a bad idea only that it seems like a waste of time. It is a good idea for those with those recovery nozzles because it keeps you from going to jail for defeating them.

If you went to jail for defeating them, the jails would be full of motorcyclists. I remember when the vapor recovery nozzles came out in CA in the '80s. No one expected bikers to actually use them the same way that cars do. If you did, you'd only get maybe half a tank to a fuel stop. Bikers are expected to pull back on the recovery shroud and fill up normally.

They had those stupid nozzles here in Phoenix for awhile, but then most of 'em disappeared in the last 5 yrs. or so. Somehow, I think they'll be back some day. Something that cumbersome has got to be really popular with the folks at the EPA.

hmm I was talking to someone that knew of a person that went to jail for defeating it I believe in Ohio (been a few months since I talked to him)
