VT600 vs Deluxe model - difference?

What [u]is[/u] the difference? I bought a used 2004 Honda VT600 Shadow VXL. What's the obvious difference between the 2 so I know what I have? The only guess I have that it might be a Deluxe is that mine is gray or silver, otherwise I don't really know.

Basically, the deluxe has more chrome. Other than aesthetics, I don't *think* there is a difference. If yours is a VT600C2, it's a deluxe, If it's a VT600CD, it's not...

Unless im mistaken, a VT600C is a Shadow, and a VT600CD is a Shadow Deluxe. The Deluxe also has different colors available that vary by year.

According to the descriptions on TMW, they have the same engine/chassis/seat height. Most variations seem to be just aesthetic.

Yeah, I totally screwed that up. The VLX is the 600C and the VLX Deluxe is the 600CD; I think I had the Shadow Spirit 750 in my head.

Really embarrassing because we have a VLX Deluxe in the garage...

My suggestion is to not get either unless you can find one with a 5 speed cause currently to my knowledge they are all 4 speed and really suck going down the highway at 80mph in 4rth gear. the bike can do 110 with 1 person on it (fastest I have gone on mine) but it sounds like a raging banshee. With 2 people I have gotten it to 85 and slowed back down mostly cause I didnt realize I was going that fast because I was more interested in getting away from the moron that switched lanes in front of me almost side swiping me.
