WTF?
I think that an 18 year old has no business on public streets on a motorcycle.
A motorcycle is a *terrible* vehicle to use to learn how to survive on the road. Use the safety of a car to get experience with traffic. There's a lot to get used to out there, from habits of other drivers to traffic pattern reading, road surface recognition, etc etc.

Its always better to wait, I was looking at bike way before I got my first car. When I eventually did save up the money for a bike, I found one with only half the mileage of my bike about 2 weeks after I purchased mine.. If you're 18 you should be on your own in not to long anyways.
When I first asked for a bike my parents were hesitant but said sure they'd love to have me out on a bike with them. When I showed them the picture of the red sport bike is when I was back in the same boat with every other young kid that wants a bike lol.

Sorry but we don't agree. The earlier you start the better rider you will end up. If I "pee" you off with my opinions that is ok. Opinions are like buttholes we all have one.jonnythan wrote:Old?olebiker wrote:Eighteen seems kinda old to be starting but maybe it's not too late.

I agree olebiker, atleast where I'm from that's what everyone thinks. Re: My mom
When you turn 18. Get a job and move out. Then you can do what ever you want. Nothing shows more responsibility than that.buckwheat15 wrote:my mom said that I cant get a bike until I am 18 I have been talking to her for a few weeks now I already tried the "does good on gas" and the " dad had one when he was young" and " im responsible" and "i ride dirt bikes all the time"
any other ideas to make bikes sound better to my mom
