I get the backpack being comforting thing. In the spring, before it got too hot I started carrying a light backpack with my gym clothes to work and it was nice and... snuggly? It also felt like a little extra protection. Once the summer got too hot for a backpack I felt a little naked riding without it.

Hey as you get older you'll get more cynical. Even worse the only degree you appreciate is the one from the univeristy of life. And finally you'll tell those who have more than you, that the more information that goes in means that common sense dribbles out of their ears onto their pillow whilst their asleep to make room.
