The healthcare budget here is huge, but somehow huge shares of it disappears in Middle Management

We no longer have a single national service, instead trusts made up of similar services in close geographical areas compete for their share

A big news story in Leicester this week is about the 66million pound project that failed to face lift Leicesters three hospitals which forced the Cheif Exec of Leicesters Hospital Trust to walk with a £700,000 settlement.

So having discovered the there is no longer a Chief Exec the Trust hired in a Consultant to cover the three months recruiting a new Chief Exec is going to take. The consultant, who is only there for 12 weeks is going to be paid £100,000

However apparently our health care in Crisis because of Health Service tourists from Europe.

Edit: Apparently you don't need to know what you're doing and if you F-up, they pay you a bundle of dough.. Geeze, £700,000 is almost $1.4 million in Canada...
