My first bike was a 1974 Honda CB360 (bought it in 93). It was an awesome running machine. I had it for several years until expressway travel got a little hairy. That little bike sounded like a sewing machine- a good thing. I've got to hand it to Honda- I could always find new parts for it- except for the chrome.

I started on a Yamaha 175CC Enduro, then went to a Honda CB650, and now ride a vintage 1986 HD Softail Custom.

Dirt, Honda 250, at 8 years old, couldn't shift or reach the pegs, but I snuck off on it quite a bit. Everyone thought it was funny until I crashed into the garage and ruined the door. The bike and I were both fine.

I started on an 883C. It's still a helluva fun bike to ride, but I like my Vic a lot better.

Street,
Took the MSF, got a 650 savage, then upgraded to the honda 599 recently.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
