Just wondering how many people on this site have a volusia motorcycle.

The bikes are now marketed as the Boulevard Cruisers. Basically the same exact bike.

Sorry i don't know that much about bikes. I am looking to purchase a bike and was looking at the volusia model and wanted to know about the bike.

Well, what can I say? I loved the bike when I had it... 805 cc V-Twin, liquid cooled, rated at 50 HP, 50 FT/LBs of Torque. Longest wheelbase in the 750/800cc class, also most power in that class, same as the Aero 1100. It's a bit on the heavy side, at 550 lbs. I'm big, 6'2" and 300 lbs, and found it a good first motorcycle. Not too powerful, willing to let you make newbie mistakes without trying to kill ya for it. It's carbeurated, which was fixed on the 05 and up Boulevard series. I have a 2007 Boulevard C50T. Got it in July as my first real bike (after having experience on a Vespa) and love it. Since I'm a cruiser noob, the weight took a bit of getting use to at slower speeds, but overall I found it very manageable. The ride is great, but don't get the stock seat -- I got the OEM gel seat, which is more comfy and an inch lower. It's a blast to ride, looks great, the fuel injection lets it start up right away even in colder weather, nice heel-toe shifter, 4.1 gallon tank (with gas gauge). Could use a sixth gear for the long highway rides, but it does fine as it is.

It will be my first bike i learned how to ride about two years ago. My boyfriend owns a 2003 volusia but i think he is trying to hard to find me one that i would like and isn't too powerful for me. I am 5,4 so it needs to be a low bike for me. My boyfriend is on volusiariders.com and it is a great site he sells drivers backrests on that site but i like trying new things and getting different opinions from everyone on what would be a good bike for me. I learned how to ride on a honda 650.

If you learned on a 650, you shouldn't have problems with a Boulevard. With the gel seat, the seat is 26.5" off the ground - the same as my girlfriend's Rebel, and she's only 5'1". But I'm sure you've sat on his '03 Volusia so know what it feels like. The Honda Shadow Spirit or Yamaha V-Star would also be worth checking out maybe, if you're looking at mid-size cruisers. I tried them all and went for the C50 though - it just felt better, had great reviews everywhere I looked, has beautiful styling.

Thanks for the info i just can't seem to find the one i want. I know if i don't like the color and stuff my boyfriend can change it. I just can't help wanting something that stands out and is unique. Pretty pathetic huh? Oh well i know that i like the body of the volusia. Just can't seem to find that one bike that jumps out at me you know. Thanks.
