No, I don't have a Victory. I just think they look cool as hell. I've heard some say that they're better on looks than performance, though. The Keanu Reeves of bikes, I guess.

And no, I don't want to "ride" Keanu Reeves. I have a beautiful female fiance, thank you. I'm just sayin'...

That is an awesome bike sucks that it is not good on performance. See that's my problem i just jump for the one that looks awesome without checking to see the reviews on them. I don't really have any patience. That sucks.

Get the one the feels good, that you're comfortable on, and customize the hell out of it! That's half the fun of a cruiser.

Exactly... If you're both over on volriders, then you know how custom some of the bikes can get, it's crazy. You both probably know who pHl0aTeR was and how he got kicked off, he's a personal friend of mine. He's got a lot of customization done to his, and it's nice, pipes, mini-apes, forward controls, debadged, hypercharger, PAIR bypassed, all that and more. Highly customizable and fun to work with!

05 C50 here. It's a good bike. Not too powerful. Pretty comfy.

I think due to the injection mine is a touch twitchy throttle wise. Nothing that can't be worked around. But it will sometimes give a little lurch if you're rolling on from zero throttle.

It starts easy. It looks good. I like the way it sounds and performs.

The tank is a bit wide for me. And without a windshield and lowers I find highway driving tries to pry my legs back and pin em to the pillion seat. That can get mighty uncomfy after 12 or so hours.

It is a touch heavy though. Course....it's a cruiser. It isn't supposed to weigh 30 pounds and rev to 27k.

I don't know anything really about bikes but can you change the gas tank for one that is smaller so you don't have that problem?

You probably don't want a smaller tank - it's a drag to have to fill up all the time. Some compain about how the C50 tank got smaller - it used to be 5 gallons, but they had to make room when they added fuel-injection.

I don't mind the tank size myself - it's just an esthetic thing, so depends on personal taste. As for the wind, I have the C50T, so got it with saddlebags and windshield. I still need to add lowers to deal with the wind buffeting, although I don't find it so bad.

A lot of people go for the Honda Shadow Aero or Spirit as first bikes too. They're great bikes, have a low 25.9"seat height, and come in more colors than the Volusia/Boulevards. You might want to check them out.

How are the shadows and the spirit with performance. I do like the body styles of both of them just worried about how they handle on the road. Thanks for helping me with all of the info you guys have given me.
