Most HDs have helicoils installed for the sparkies from the factory. At least the aluminum heads do!

I have seen people take helicoiled holes and try to cross thread the bolt into them only to screw up the helicoil but I have never seen one work its way out either. But if someone is worried about them coming out you can install a Keen Sert but they require a bigger hole for a larger thread to be made.

oh and about your comment above to mine I missed the point where it got easy again. I just thought he said it got hard the rest of the way down. my bad.
