Michelin Pilot Road "B" model?

#1 Unread post by Posthumane »

Hello all, I'm purchasing a new front tire for my Honda 599, and I've decided to go with the original equipment Michelin Pilot Road as I'm quite satisfied with the grip and wear levels (24000km on the front and still not bald :P). However, I see that there is a listing for a 120/70ZR17 and a 120/70ZR17 B tire from the same store, with the same model tire. Anyone know what the difference between these is (ie, what does the B stand for)? Is this an interim model between the pilot road and pilot road 2? they seem to have the same tread pattern in the pictures, but I don't know if the pics are accurate.

Is it possible that one of them is a rear tire?

Hmmm, I suppose it's possible, although the rear tire in that series does have a different tread pattern than the front, and I think this one was listed as a front tire as well. I'm thinking one might be an OEM model specific tire that some manufacturers request for their bikes.
