We all know certain things don't go together. For instance you don't mix oil and water and expect them to play together nicely. Another no-no would be stripping down buck naked while cooking french (Freedom) fries. On the way home from work a few weeks ago I saw a German kid on his bike. While riding down the trail he was reading a magazine. I watched him for a few seconds just as he hit a pole. My last glance was of the German boy flying off his bicycle arms flaying. That is when I decided that reading a magazine while riding a bicycle would be bad.

Today as we were driving home from a friends house I happened to look out the window. Standing in the window inside his house (facing away from me fortunately) was a man with no clothes on. I got an eye full of a hairy, sweaty, German's butt cleavage. That will teach me to look out the window when we drive.

Found out today that I am getting out of the military. Medical, non-voluntary separation. I am so glad to be moving out of Germany.

Also - does anyone read this or am I talking to myself? I do that often, I have kids.

You may be talking to yourself. You may have created Patrick and Me as your imaginery friends.

Lol then he's got a few imaginary friends... I'm always reading your blog!
So have you decided if you're moving to Colorado or not?

Yes, I am moving to Colorado Springs. The date is not definitive yet but it is looking like the beginning of the year.

Awesome! Granted I'm not there anymore, but I can still point out where to live and what to do! I'll probably be up there over Christmas break (just have a week), then I don't know when again, but I'll definitely be back, we'll have to meet up sometime!

The other day the German Feurwehr (fire department) were practicing. Part of their practice is to get ready for a fire as fast as possible. The fire house is only one sortie high and their lockers are at the back of the fire house perfectly visible from the street.

As we drove by they were changing from their regular clothes to their fire gear. I saw a big hairy German guy with red and white hearted boxers, changing into his fire gear.

I have got to learn to keep my eyes front.
