Great Story and Great Pics!

So awesome that you and your mother used to ride together like that! Do you have any pics of you and her on the motorcycle when you were younger?

Did they have helmets for kids then? It must've been really cute! :D

I don't remember seeing any pics of my mother and I on that bike together, I would have to ask her. If I find any I'll sure post them.

R E S P E C T

Just put a smile on my face and a tear in my eye.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

Hell of a story. Lets hope your life, from now on, is better than what your Mother went through.

Great job on the bike. I'm sure that bike will never leave your posession.

GREAT story! It's obvious that you've worked very hard to restore a bike that is more than just a machine for you.

I grew up on the back of my dad's '81 Honda CB900 Custom. He gave it to my older brother in 1988, who put it in a shed and hasn't touched it in maybe 12 years. He won't give it to me to restore and ride, but I'm working on him! Oh, to ride my father's old bike...One way or another I'm gonna ride that bike again, whether it's him or me that restores it!

Thanks for the story, let us know how it goes after you get your endorsement!

I don't get to post around here much, but this post forced me to hit the "Post Reply" button.

That's a great looking bike and a really great story.

Let's see this bike make it another 16 years.
