I've been there, and I've bought bikes I shouldn't have........ the struggle continues..... :laughing:

Good luck bike shopping.... patience can pay off as much as scouring the various advertizing publications.

The more I hear about this, the more it bothers me.
Water in the instrument panel... sounds like a crash
Replaced levers... sounds like a crash
2200km in 3 years (Or so he says) sounds like a crash

There is no way during normal use that he should have gotten water in there. No one in their right mind would just steal clutch and brake levers. It all sounds like he's giving you a hose job. Head out there and find a different bike, this one sounds like it'll bite you in the "O Ring".
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

yeah your right it does sound like a crash.. i think i just might wait a lil bit and save more money and get a nicer cleaner bike.. i never wanna buy a bike that was droped.. thats a bad luck bike.. i wanna have good luck not bad.. so i will take all of your advice into consideration and see whats going to happend.. i mean it cant hurt to bring it to a place and have it checked out.. but we'll see.. i dont think i want this bike anymore.. i think i am going to keep looking.. hopefully i will find an R6 in my price range that is in amazing shape.. but i guess only time will tell....

Sup riders..

I just wanted to inform you that i finally baught my bike.. its a 2000 yamaha R6. i have been riding it for a few days now.. its amazing. i love riding soo much. the bike is in really good condition . its a blue and white R6. i was just wanted to tell everyone that has replyed to my post that i finally got a bike and i thank everyone for there replys.. well thankyou guys ..

Even if it needs a bit of work, for the price, you really cant go wrong.. I doubt a buddy would try to screw you over. Less thats the way he operates.
