I usually just straddle the bike to back it out of a parking lot, but for some reason I had to get off and walk it out. Annoyingly, my boot slipped on oil or something and I almost fell, but I managed to keep the bike up.
No worries, just rode home, but when I checked my riding pants, they were completely melted through (and the knee armor was partially melted through). I didn't even feel it at the time, but my leg must've pressed against the pipe. Now I'm royally ticked off at having to buy another pair of pants, but I guess it's still way better than a burnt shin.
