Anyone seem the new Yamaha Raider?
Those are sweet, saw and sat on one last week at the dealers.
A lot of bike for the money. 1900cc, i think 220 rear tire, chopper look, very nicely equipped ride.

I've only seen it on the net.
Didn't really like what I saw of it online, but I'm trying to reserve my judgement until I see it in person.
The pics online may not do it justice but from what I've seen, I don't like the pipes. Plus there's something "off" about the area in front of the gas tank (can't put my finger on it, but don't like it).

doubt it...the Intruder is made by Suzuki. The Raider is made by Yamaha.badinfluence63 wrote:Thats a sweet looking machine for a factory custom looking rig:

I saw (and sat on) these at the International Motorcycle Show in Ft. Worth the weekend before last and I have to say, if I had the kinda change that it requires to buy one, I'd have one in the garage (parking garage at work, that is) right now. Sits quite comfortable, nice looks, just plain likeable. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the pipes. I don't care for the little bump up in the middle of the span, just looks weird to me.
Of course, this has to be taken with a grain of salt as I'm quite new to the motorcycle arena, so I'm just going on personal taste and not any sort of experience.

Posting the 2 bikes next to each other as Johnnythan did helped me figure out what I don't like about that area in front area of that Raider's gas tank.
Now I'm no fan of Harley's Rocker (I hate the passenger seat design), but you gotta admit the Rocker's area between the gas tank and the triple tree (front forks) looks TEN TIMES better than the Raider's.
Yamaha left way too much space in front of that tank and the exposed frame there looks crappy. Looks like someone goofed up on the engineering of that tank. Screws up an already not-so-good-looking bike even more.
But...I'd still like to see it in person.

Not such a farfetched idea. Who do you think makes the Suzuki Marauder 1600? (hint: not Suzuki)blackmouth wrote:doubt it...the Intruder is made by Suzuki. The Raider is made by Yamaha.badinfluence63 wrote:Thats a sweet looking machine for a factory custom looking rig:
