Brasso to clean chrome. Opinions?
Brasso to clean chrome. Opinions?
Ive been told it's got something gritty in it that is good for other metals, but not for chrome. Please inform.

Brasso will work just fine, tooth paste will work just fine, Glass Wax will work just fine, rubbing compound that takes out swirls will work just fine but I think products that are made for a certain job work best doing that job, all of them are a really fine grit product and will work with in their limitations, products like Brasso and all the others have additives that make them do their designed job better

That is what I use and it is fantastic.Dennis wrote:I use a product called NevrDull. It's cotton wadding that comes in a can. We used to use it in the Navy for polishing and shining brass. Works really good.

NevrDull is the best stuff out there.macdaddy wrote:I've been happy w/ NevrDull, as well.
I used to work at a hardware store and dealt alot with Brasso v. Other Brands. NevrDull always came out on top.
Brasso is a horrible product that doesn't work unless you put a lot, and I mean, A LOT of elbow grease into it.

Ye can try it on a un-noticeable patch.... But why not just buy some chrome polish? it isn't really that expensive
