Riding Shoes

I bought me a new 2008 Goldwing. With both feet on the ground at the same time my heels don't touch. I am looking for a pair of riding shoes that will give me an additional 2-3 inches of leg length. Any suggestions?

Engineer Boots have been popular for riding boots, although for an extra 2 - 3 inches, you'll probably need a set of...

The problem with Plat form boots is you get your foot stuck under the shift lever. Unless of course you have one of those newer bikes with the back peddel for down shifting. On a Goldwing you most likely have one. The picture of the boots is something to be hold. I do not think they would look that cool after a few miles. But I would not get caught dead in them at their coolest stage. I would recommend a bike that you could at least reach the ground on.

You can also look at seat mods for a better reach to the ground...

your platform boots made me laugh out. Funny stuff. :laughing:

I admire anyone who is able to tuck both the pants and leg into the same boot. Thats slim.

The problem with Engineer boots and most bike boots is that they do not come in all sizes. (try to find them in a A or B width) I can find them in normal (C or D) or extra wide (E, EE and EEE) for fat feet but not for narrow feet.(only special order even from RED WING)

I didn't know there was a law that said your heels have to touch the ground when you're on your motorcycle. ARe you new to riding?

If so, getting used to NOT flat footing will make life easier all around. Yes, it takes some adjustment of thinking and certainly planning ahead when coming to a stop, etc. But why go there?
