If you do ever get a windshield on your bike, you will probably find you will be less fatigued after a long ride.roscowgo wrote:I've never had a shield. That'll beat you to death in fairly short order if you're doing anything on a highway.
I don't have a shield for money reasons though....Not because I don't like how they look or am at all concerned about stability issues with em.

i put a double bubble gp screen on my bike a while ago and I must say it was the best 250 bux Ive spent in a while. Love the fact that wind blast desont hit me fair in the stomach any more, now it hits about an inch below the top of the helmut lol
easy enough to get under when one is getting all excited

Lets just give you my "wisdom" (or lack therof lol) on this.
Try going down the road in 24F weather without a windshield and then do the same with a windshield.
That windshields never gonna come back off.

heated harley davidson gloves (I know its just another brand with harley slapped on it but they were free to me lol) teknic jacket with liner that goes to -60 below, long sleeve shirt. Then I wear my carhart snow pants with blue jeans and thermasilk long johns. I stay warm in that. I did ride in 14F once and that actually pierced through my jacket and I was actually cold (not frozen) at that temp. wont ever do that again lol. actually my bike is up for this winter as I dont feel like buying a new battery and spark plug wires right now and im too lazy to fix it in the cold.M.Zebra wrote:"Try going down the road in 24F weather " ???
How on earth can you stand riding in that weather? What do you wear--mukluks and seal skin?
As for moving somewhere warm I am trying. I have applied for about 12 Industrial mechanic positions in Texas the past 3 weeks and havent heard from a single one of them yet =[.
