Hiya Patrick

Yep, I had that problem for a while.

I'm no expert at this and maybe someone can advise you in more detail, or tell you a niftier way of doing it.

On advice from blues I started using Photobucket as my host site for posting on the forum. They have an 'edit size' function. They give you various options:'email', 'message board', 'avatar' etc. I just bring up the pic, choose 'message board' and, hey presto, it sizes the pic just right. No more scrolling back and forth to read the posts.

I would presume whatever site you are using to host your pics would have something similar.

Just re-size the image before posting to the web. You'll save on bandwidth at the same time. And if you think you have to scroll, I'm sitting here posting from my phone...

Thanks a bunch I just did that at Photobucket and after clearing my cache I was able to now view it after the resize. I will start resizing all of my uploads but I do not think I am going to go back to do them all. But who knows. Again thanks.

According to this mentally challenged article using a Mac may make me a snob. Funny because I dislike iPods for their poor sound quality and I hate going to Starbucks and since I'm a rider I don't buy 5 pairs of sneakers but one good pair of construction boots.

So now I have two things to get me labeled negatively: motorcycle rider and Mac user.. though I am using a gaming Winodws PC to type this...
If people associate a MacBook with you being a snob, whose problem is that? I would naturally assume theirs. That's just like someone harping on you for the type of bike you ride; it's an opinion, not the law.

Windows lovers don't understand Mac users. They don't understand what good workmanship and excellent software is like, because they don't have it and thus can't understand the reasoning to spend over a grand on the computer. If you like the Mac, stick with the Mac.

And if people give you more "poo poo" about it, just shrug your shoulders and say "I buy what I like. If you're going to buy the computer for me, I'll use it. Otherwise, I'd appreciate it if you'd lay off."

Or just get a black MacBook. Ooh, stylish.

But for the love of God, don't get rid of a good machine just because someone thinks negatively of you for having it. God forbid you get sneered at because you do something that others don't agree with.

Y'know, so much for being yourself.
My MacBook was pretty cheap thanks to the discounts I got, plus I don't have to waste time with authorized repair centers should something go wrong, I can just go to the Apple store and let them deal with it. Those were the reasons why I chose this instead of the ThinkPad.

The ThinkPad had that cool flat black look but girls do like the look of my glossy white machine plus it's only 1.08in. thick. I'm gonna install Windows on it anyway. Now do I trade in my Vulcan for a Vespa to go for the SoHo look to go with my MacBook...

Geeks on two wheels club, checking in.

It's a lot more common than a lot of people think.

Did you seriously just tell me that you're going to put Windows on that fine machine? You're going to sell out that wonderful little thing to spyware, malware, and viruses just so you can screw around with Bill Gates?

Please, at least tell me you're putting XP on it.
