Just a friendly warning...

#1 Unread post by HITAMUDHOLE »

I just joined to try to help you guys on here that ride cruisers to NOT order anything from Backyard Performance. They are an internet company that I found out too late have a negative status with the BBB and are the worst people you can imagine to deal with. They screwed me around for over 2 months now on my parts and refuse to refund the money that they said they would never even charge on my card until the product shipped. They try blaming the manufacturer but I have spoken to them personally and it was all lies. I won't go into the whole BS story but believe me, You DO NOT want to order from them. I hope I can stop any of you from going through the stuff they have put me through and still going through. I had to go to the bank and refuse the charges finally but I still have a few more days before the money will be back in my account. Just didn't want this to happen to other bikers.

Thanks for the info. I've bought most of my stuff from www.cruisercustomizing.com and am very happy with them. I once returned some stuff that I didn't like, and they had no problem taking it back, even after I opened it. They had no restocking fee.

And they are Honda lovers, which like you, is what I own.

Well it's been 10 days since I requested the refund on my account and still NO money in there. I guess I will have to go back to the bank to see why that is. Maybe they don't count the day you do it so that would mean it will be Monday. What really makes me mad is I have given Backyard so many chances to do the right thing but they always give me the run around. If I would have gone to the bank intially I would already have the money and my pipes. The thing is I had custom made pipes ordered and the manufacturer had to sell them because I couldn't get my money back fast enough and they have many orders waiting on them too. Now when I get the money I will have to wait again for weeks for them to build and chrome me some more. :frusty:

I agree, Cruiser Customizing is a good dealer. Scootworks and, to a lesser extent, PhatPerformanceParts are good as well.

One to stay away from is Seminole Powersports in Florida. They didn't jerk me around or fail to deliver, they just took way too damn long to ship! They don't stock anything so if you buy from them they take your money and order the part(s) from somewhere else. It took over a month to get a windshield and two small chrome pieces, and their communication is awful.

If this is on your credit card, the card company should be able to reverse those charges and take the credit away from the dealer.

Thanks for the info about that company though...
