How/Where can i find good deals?

#1 Unread post by Jammah »

Hey All,

I am twenty year old riding noob, took the msf class and got my license and right now am struggling to save up enough money to afford gear and a bike ( got my heart set on a Ninja 250 after hearing so many great things about it, would settle for a Nighthawk, the bike i rode during the course). Don't own a car right now. Tuition, bills and day-to-day expenses take up most of my hard earned cash. Does anyone have suggestions on ways and/or places to get some good deals on decent gear and a bike.

I just went to check that out, but am a bit confused on the totalmotorcycle site. Is the "metric bike" the street motorcycle section? The site doesnt really list itself as having gear per say, but they do stock a lot of it it seems.

mertric is everything foreign, from cruisers to sport bikes, basically non-harley

Oh just go to the catagory you want like boots, gloves whatever and then list by price low first, and look for closeout items

Go check your local dealers NOW. They should be having closeout sales on leftover equipment from last year. I picked up a HJC FS-10 for under $200.00 last weekend.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Also check out newenough.com, it's got a great selection of gear and such, last year's models at usually about 1/4-1/2 off, but I've seen stuff on there for 1/10th of it's original price!

Thank ya'll, DK had some really good prices, and the other sites were awesome, getting some gear is suddenly within my price range :D . Think i need to go to some local shops and try on a few helmets so i can get a good fit. The bike is still a bit out of reach for me, ( a bank loan might be in my near future). Other than craigslist, any other places that are good to search for low priced bikes?
