Help!

#1 Unread post by Teddiric18 »

While looking for my first bike I ran across a Honda Supersport CB400F... it is a 1975 but looks to be in good condition... Would this be a good bike to start out on?

Yes, it'd be fine as a first bike. I'd rock one as a second bike myself, I love those old low displacement bikes.

That would be a great starter bike. Just make sure it runs decently, unless you're mechanically inclined. Learning to ride and worrying about your bike breaking isn't a fun combination.

If you buy it, make sure you post up some pics for us. :)

Might that be a two-stroke? You might want to verify and, if so, make sure it is street legal in your area.

Don't think of it as a stop light. Think of it as a chance-to-show-off light.

It would be a good bike to start out on, but heed mgdavis's warning. If you're not mechanically inclined, you probably won't be happy with a 33 yr. old bike. The first thing you should buy after getting the bike should be a service manual.
