It's not mine. I just looked at his posting history ;)

I do wear a leather jacket on my XV535. It ain't exactly Mad Max style, but I ain't exactly Mel Gibson either.

Dang, I was going to say Fizzer 400 or 600 but wasn't sure. Hard to see the badging on the crank cover.

A monster? I wish! Nope, just a 22 year old, 54 hp "sport" bike. Not that I can complain, it treats me right.

tremclad!

I've done a number of work bikes with rattle cans. Tremclad, with wet sanding up to 1500 grit (500, 1000, 1500) does a pretty good job. Coat a day for three days and you're done. Give the last coat a gentle scuff with 3000, and wax. I don't woory about clear coat. The two times I did, it cracked. Probably due to my ignorance. Go for Tremclad silver or aluminum- it hides many blemishes. Gloss black if you must, but you'll probably get a semi-gloss finish. Waxing and clear coat might give you more shine, but I've nver bothered. Good luck! Send a pic.
