For used bikes, there is ebay, cycle trader, local newspaper ads, etc. Any lemon lots in your town?

If you're that strapped for cash, then I seriously recommend you wait to buy anything until you are more stable. It is possible to get a used motorcycle that isn't going to be a cash hole. All that is needed is a reputable mechanic to do a thorough safety/mechanical inspection before you make the purchase.

Sure you can finance a new bike for an "affordable" monthly payment. But it doesn't take much to suddenly put you out $100 and more with a motorcycle. A parking lot tipover can result in $250 damage to plastics. Even on the Ninjette. And that may bump up your insurance rates...

msf DISCOUNT

After taking the MSF class our facilitator gave a us a "business" like card from them and said we could get a discount at some of our local retailers by showing them the card. (merchandise only) I would ask them if any of the retailers in your area offer the same. And it can be risky but I found the greatest deal on my bike on CRAIGSLIST. Got an '05 Sportster XL 1200C 3000 mi, blue booked at $8300 (stock) and got it with some extra's for $5700!!!!!!! The female owner was getting divorced and just wanted to pay off her LOAN. Buyer beware though, cuz you never know.... I was lucky!!
