How did you outfit yourself for the class? Anything special? Right now all I have are boots. I'm still a little confused as to what I want for a jacket and Helmet.

Good Stuff! I thought that buying a helmet would be a significant expense.

I am gonna try this:
1999 Honda Shadow 600 VLX Deluxe. Awesome bike and only paid $2,850.
I pick it up tomarrow!!!
That's awesome. Hopefully, I'll be saying similar things at the end of April.

Wicked. I too, passed my course this weekend. I thought I was surely going to fail the test, but everyone passed. Over the weekend, we had one lady lady "loop out" and drop a bike, another lady dumped and hurt her ankle and one dude panicked and hit the front brake in turn. He dumped and slid across the parking lot. I had lotsa fun.
We had no sliders in my class, although one girl dropped hers at a standstill and another fell over as a result of a stall. Out of the 12 of us, only 4 failed. I have never TOUCHED a bike until a month ago and never even been on one until the 2nd day of class. All in all, I am very proud of myself and am confident in my learning capabilities. Lets rock n' roll!

I only saw the one drop happening. She was two or three bikes in front of me, had the throttle pinned in first with the back brake on. She took her foot of the brake and the bike jumped up on its rear tire and got away from her. It was awesome to watch.
rofl... it's always funny until it happens to us. This one girl in fromt of me kept popping wheelies every time she took off. She didn't get much air which says to me that it wasnt intentional.
