Like i said I do a lot of 2up riding and solo riding so I know roughly when i need gas but it is never the same..obviously.. Some times I have to fill up at 118 miles and sometimes i have to fill up at 145 and anyewhere inbetween so i just wait till she sputters a little or catch it at 100 miles and i'm good to go..flynrider wrote: After awhile, you'll be able to tell with a fair amount of accuracy, how many miles on the tripmeter you'll go on the main tank. At that point you can either change to reserve before the sputtering starts, or head to a gas station. The tripmeter becomes your fuel gauge.
I'd consider this one to be in the "Waaaay more trouble than it's worth" category.
I have only ran out of gas once and luckly i was pulling into the gas station
Gas guage would be a pian i looked into to it.. Personally I would want one but thats ok for now...
