Picked up my new bike today

#1 Unread post by Carbonfiberjunky »

If you look down the list, you'll see what has happened to me in the last couple weeks...Bike totaled, bought new bike, and today I went and picked it up. Now, I went from a 600 cc R6s, to an R1, And I was a bit nervous about how this bike would feel as far as torque. I have to tell you, this bike is so smooth, it's absolutely perfect. Not to say there's no torque, but At no time did I feel as though someone was trying to pull me off the bike(like I did when I rode the zx-14). And I don't really know how to describe it, but the bike just feels more solid under me then my r6s did. The dealer is actually halfway across the state from where I live, but I got a great deal, and I got to ride my new bike 170 miles today.lol. Tomorrow I'm going to change my oil. And in a few days some new shiny, and not so shiny bits should show up in the mail so I can put some flushmount signals on it and get rid of the crazy plastic fender they put on it. Anyway..WOW..Great bike. My Son said he hasn't seen me smile in 2 weeks..no I can't stop giggling like a little beeeotch..HAHA!! :wowza: :bounce2:  :wowza:

I'll post some pics once I change a few things...it's going to look pretty sweet. Can't wait till I get my aftermarket stuff for it. But I have no plans on making any performance enhancing changes to this bike in the forseeable future. Besides the fact that it's new and I'll be getting used to it for a little bit. I, of course, can already see a LARGE difference in the amount of HP I'm sitting on top of over my last bike. So needless to say.160 hp to the rear wheel will probably hold me for quite some time !!

Until we see pictures, we have to assume that it didn't happen. Sorry.
