More than likely this actually isn't a peace sign it's a Victory sign it's origins are in japan (where your sport bike was probably made) and commonly used in Anime.

wow, I never knew about it's origin in that way! But we must learn something new everyday! Thanks.

The Wave

As a n HD owner, I wave to everyone. Sometimes those metric cruiser guys don't wave back  Just kidding. Sometimes Riders wave and sometimes they don't... no big deal. I also have a goldwing and same response on the wave back when I ride the Honda. I also live in MA. about 45 mins from the Brookfields. Great riding out your way.

I wave at everything with two wheels and a motor, including scooters.
And those of us from the lower classes, i.e. scooters, thank you for it.

I wave(with the palm down method) to whomever I see when I feel comfortable and safe enough to do so. If I'm in the middle of a turn or something though, I don't bother.

Someone on here once said that it was for "V-twin", a rider showing pride in their v-twin bike as they wave.

I like the Forrest Gump method of waving... a nice parade wave usually gets attention.

I wave to EVERYONE, if they don't wave back......O well. Their problem. I have notice that the typical "Harley Guys" don't wave back, but the ones in full gear (who also ride Harley's) DO!

Whats the sign for when you are in a cage and want to let riders know you are cool with them and will watch they're back?
if there isn't one let's invent one!

just so we don't have any miscomunication the raised middle finger is used to say "you're #1" in NJ

i don't really think about how i wave - i just do. and maybe it's the bike i have, but i find more sportbike riders not waving than the "harley guys".

i will say that when i wave and i don't get a wave back i feel a little dumb. or i think - jerk.

I wave at everyone when I see them/it's feasible to wave. I stick my left hand out and down a tad and do a peace sign. Not sure why - I guess it's just comfortable.
