I just got a replacment pair of Nitro riding pants.
The webbing belt was pulling out of the waistband....hanging by a thread. I hadn't worn these pants very much...maybe a dozen times.
I went to my dealer to show them and they called Nitro. They took them back and Nitro sent out a new pair. I think they modified their fit a bit. the knee pads are actually at my knee this time.
It says a lot about a company when they honour their warranty.

That's what I wear. Those and leather pants, depending on the weather.NJ-Pinay wrote:aren't chaps a good alternative?
I love my chaps. They come on and off pretty quick like was mentioned earlier. The air up here is usually still cool enough in the summer
to wear 'em. Would seriously have to look at somthing else though, if we spend much time elsewhere.
Came out of Sacramento couple of years ago in our leathers in 97 degree temps and just about died.

But, we never ride without our gear, just gotta get more!!

Icon chaps
they are pretty flashy, and really cute, not to mention thick enough to save your legs, i like the kitty chaps and gogo chaps, their bobmbshell chaps are less flash for those who don't like all the decal, i am seriously thinking about ordering some, but if anyone has tried them let me know how you liked them.

Hey, I've been thinking of doing that! Actually, of making reinforced denim chaps with pockets for knee armour. I'm only fair-to-middling in the sewing dept., though.
Was leather hard to sew? How about the zippers for the legs?

Well, yeah, so do I. But I'd like to have something that has knee armor, isn't too hot, and that I can wear over shorts, so that I can be safe and comfortable on my ride, but also at my destination.
Now if I can just retrieve my sewing machine from Pittsburgh, I can start experimenting.

When I first started riding, I wore chaps. A British bloke that I met along the way looked at me and said, "Don't you like your bottom?" Kind of took me aback for a second... but his point was made. There's a large part of your exterior exposed in chaps should you (god forbid) ever go down. Given that I do like my bottom (:D ), I decided to switch to full riding pants - I have both leather and textile. :2centsMZ33 wrote:Hey, I've been thinking of doing that! YMMV
Spend time with those who make you better.
