CBR125R clocked at 80mph

#1 Unread post by Flesher »

Today I saw a guy on a cbr125 doing over 80mph, I didn't even think they were legal on the 400 series highways (major highways in Ontario), and definetly had no idea they could be wound up that tight, wow!

That's pretty amazing to see a CBR125R going at 120kph/80mph. It must have sounded like the bike was about to explode. That's full out on that bike. Still, pretty amazing for a 125cc motor.

You'd be surprised, most modern 125s can hit ~75 mph now. De-restrict an Aprilia RS 125 and it'll go faster still approx 95-100mph (apparently 115mph if you fit a "power valve" whatever that is)

Cagiva Mito 125's are also 100mph capable when de-restricted

These 2 are kind of exceptions though. Both make in excess of 30bhp when unleashed, expect to have regular service intervals.

My 125 tops out about 65-68 MPH. But it has to be a super flat road. haha
