I want more coverage than that. I definitely want comp and collision, so that if something happens to my bike, I can get it fixed. I'm hoping that I don't have any at-fault accidents with a bike, but hey, you can never be too sure. I also put in a $500 deductible (since I don't want to have to pay out the rear for fixes should they be needed). So yeah, I'm sure that's jacking up the rate.
But I did find a cool rate on progressive.com for the Ninja 500. It's the same to insure as the 250. Crazy, isn't it? (about 600/year, much lower than my current company, Farmes)
Speaking of Ninja 500R, I actually sat on one tonight. Went to a dealer and they had an 07 on the floor. First time I've ever been on a bike (besides a bicycle). Won't lie, gave me the jitters. Too bad I couldn't buy it right then and there. It's a SWEET BIKE!
I'm waiting to see if a 250 comes in. The guy said that they might get one or two in in June, and said he'd call if they get one. They're much cheaper, a bit smaller, and would be the perfect beginner bike for me. If they get one, I may just have to go buy it.
