75 honda 500T

#1 Unread post by dragsta »

i have a 75, 500T that's in darned good condition but sat for 9 years. i got it running but the previous owner wired in two tail lights with a toggle switch to the fuse box. i removed the lights/switch and now i have to get my tail light and headlight working. can someone please post a pic of the back side of their 500T fuse box? here's a pic of my bike and the back of my fuse box.

an artist i know in dallAss just gave it to me. it was sitting for a long time and "running poorly" before that. i figured out the wiring now all the lights work. the only thing left to do is fine tune it. it will tach up to about 7K rpm then start cutting out. the bike has very good compression though and the tank has NO RUST. i've never run across a bike of this age that's this clean.

You can't beat that deal! Besides being so clean, it's amazingly original. The original unripped seat, the original peashooter mufflers, & the original paint and stripes. It's totally unmolested other than the 1970's obligatory crash bars.

This one is a keeper! :exactly:

yeah, i considered repainting it and putting new decals on it but if i were buying this bike, i'd want to see the original paint so i know it hasn't been bondoed up. there is one exactly like it on ebay that's now over $1,200. when it sells it will give me a very good idea of what this bike is worth.

i'm going to remove the air cleaners then see how it revs. if it is worse and won't go to 6,500 rpm without surging then it's not getting enough gas. if it's better i will get new air cleaners for it.
