Bike Grips

Is it normal to have to cut off part of the end on the grips in order to have a bar end fit?

Yeah I have every time I put bar end mirrors on.

You can buy grip rubber with either open or closed ends. It'll cost you about $8-10 for aftermarket grips. ProGrip makes good gel grips.
