need help air filter 2001 magna

changed air filter on my bike and it's running rough there is a thick hose in the back of engine but no place to put it any ideas

you're being pretty vague, but i'll try.

The hose you're probably talking about is an overflow hose off the air filter box. It's supposed to be there.

I would bet that you didn't seal the airbox properly and its running too lean.

check ur rubbers.

The thik hose is your crankcase breather line that runs to your air box. As far as it running rough depends on what type of filter you put on it. If it is pod filters you may have to rejet it to get the proper air fuel mixture again. If it was a stock replacement filter using the stock air box I would check to see if you have a gap letting in air bypassing the filter.
