Newbie here

#1 Unread post by bikernana »

Hi everyone! I'm new on here and a beginner rider. I am 51 year old beginner rider, do you believe it?! I bought a 2007 Suzuki Blvd C40 as my first bike and it's perfect for me. I'm short 5'4" and can actually stand flat footed. The bike is light enough for me to handle it. I got my permit to ride and in a couple of months will have to pass the skills test which I'm just stressing over. :? I've ridden on the highway and was not scared at all, and have ridden a little in our home town, but that's about it. That's about it for me. I'm glad I found this forum and look forward to many months, years of information.

Sandy

Welcome biker nana!

The S40(Savage) is a great bike for a beginner. The ultra low seat height give you a lot of confidence. It also looks great and the big thumper is a charismatic engine. Big thumpers are also have great exhaust tones. The only bad thing IMO is the name. They should have kept the Savage name.

:welcome2: bike nana

It was very nice in Washington state yesterday. I was with some friends and as a group we rode the Chuckanut to Burlington and then across the Deception pass bridge, around Whidbey island and then the ferry back.

Enjoy the forums. :)
