is it safe?
I have a nail in my back tire is it safe to ride it around my complex with that in there? The leak is sooooo slow you don't even notice it, to be honest i'm not sure if it even leaks.

You still haven't got that fixed or replaced. I hope you haven't been riding since you last posted about nail. Get a new tyre, put in a tube, even put a plug in is better than riding with nail in it!
And No offense, but from what I have read of your posts, I think you should take to a shop, or at least have some one with some experience help/coach you (right there not on the net)

Ah yep, that would be me who doesnt agree.
Had a tech screw near the midline of my rear tyre a while back, tyre wasnt old, had it plugged and road the rubber off that tyre with no issues.
On that though, not so sure I would do it on the front, it would depend on where the nail/screw had gone through and how old the tyre was at the time.

You just reminded me that my first rear tire got a nail in it. The bike shop replaced the tube but just plugged the tire. It lasted until the tread wore out.shane-o wrote:green meenie wrote:I wouldn't take the chance riding with a nail in either tire. If it goes out on you suddenly - you'll more then likely go down. They have that tire slime stuff for motorcycles tube or tubeless (it says on the bottle). I carry 2 around for emergencies since I'm not sure how Progressive Road Side towing works for bikes (It was included free with my premium).
I had a nail in my GZ250 before and when I rode to the shop to get the tire repaired it turned out that when they pulled out the nail it didn't go past the tread since it was quite small. A bit embarrassing but better safe than sorry.

One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.
