Helmet savvy

Some people consider it "bad form" to hang a helmet on the bike, locked or not. Unfortunately those same idiots think that a helmet hung on a bike is an invitation to mess the helmet. So you could come back and find trash, or much worse inside your helmet.

For all the reasons above, and what I just wrote, I take my helmet with me.

I leave mine sitting on the backrest. I live in a pretty low crime area plus most people know better than to mess with a bike. Never know who or where the rider is

Two reasons that I carry my helmet with me. It would take less than a second for some punk kid to spit in my helmet. Other reason is the heat. 110+ degrees is not uncommon in my part of the world. I think stealing someone's helmet is like stealing their underwear. Ugh.
