Welcome to TMC. This is a great general motorcycle forum but if you have any specific problems with your GS drop by http://www.gstwins.com/gsboard/
The GS sounds normal to me just the way they made it but I've been riding one for my last 140,000 miles. Put 80k on a 97 and have 60k on my 02 now.

Could be worse...my SV sounds like a sewing machine. But the way I see it, we're not ticking off the neighbors with our window-shaking straight pipes.
