86 VF700C brake light problem

#1 Unread post by brownni »

I just got my 86 vf700c and i need to go get it inspected. the only problem is that the rear brake light is not being activated when i pull only the front brake lever. i used my volt-meter to check the switch and i have power there and it definitely sends a signal when i am squeezing the lever. does anyone know where the distributor for brake light signal is? i clearly need to check that connection, but i cant figure out where the dang thing is for the life of me.

also, could i just freaking hardwire my front brake switch to the wires that go to my rear brake? would that connection allow the signal from both to travel thru those rear brake wires?

thanks,
Nick

Check your manual for where the front and rear brake light switches connect to the brake light.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
