94-98 kx 250 fork replacement,is it the same?
Hello all love the site, listen I just bought a pair of front forks off ebay and the seller claimed that the 94 forks I was buying would fit my 98 kx 250 is there truth to this because I received them today and there to small they slide right out of the triples. I paid with paypal so if he false advertised I am entitled a refund....... however I must first prove that a 94 indeed will not fit a 98...or if the forks and triples were replaced prior to me purchasing my 98......... Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

The easiest way is to measure the forks with a caliper.
MX bikes are almost always 'upgraded' every year, and things like fork tube diameter are one of the things that grow a millimeter or 2 every year. Stiffer is better, bigger is stiffer..... like the sun coming up every morning, the ad copy must have larger numbers the copy from last years bike.
I would bet you will find the 94's forks are smaller diameter than the 98's, so the triple clamps will not be able to clamp them.

No Witnesses....
