Roadstar silverado problem help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#1 Unread post by yamahakid2009 »

I just recently bought a 2002 roadstar silverado
I was trying to clean it up
but i ran across a big problem:
I can't get the riders seat off i'm following the manual but for some reason the seat still catches on something and i can't seem to identify what it is catching on

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't panic man, some seats have to unbolt first then slide back a bit, then lift. So take your time, its most likely something small.
I had a similar situation with my Vulcan and when I realised what it was I tried really hard to kick myself but my foot wouldn't reach. :loosingit:

My seat doesen't have a bolt in it
Its supposed to release from the ignition swith by turning to the key to the "open" position
is there an alternate manual way to take off my seat

Thanks for the reply but sure enough a friend came over and fixed it
the previous owner basically forced the seat down instead of installing it properly so it just took a little finesse and a crowbar
