USA map to show what states you road in

I have been looking for the usa map of states to show were you have been . I saw one it was a medal plate with the states on it and each state had a place to glue a daimon look stone to show which state they had been in . the one I saw was on a late model goldwing . I have been unable to fined any kind, would any of you'll know were I might find one

By the looks of this years Laconia rally if you attended a swap meet or some motorcycle gathering I bet you would locate one there with a vender some where.

That looks pretty neat. So far, I've got 3 states down, NY, NJ and PA.

But I'll never fill that thing. My wife gets freaky enough that I ride a bike at all, much less taking it across the country.

I could probably manage the North East and South East.

if you planned your iron butt ride well you might be able to knock out a few states that you otherwise wouldn't get to.

my problem with those things is i live smack dab in the middle of north carolina. not exactly a small state. i've been into va but i have to ride a few hours to get out of state. maybe some day...

I go to North Carolina couple times a year and I tell you that is a huge and diverse state. Mountains, ocean, flat land. Its great. You got Ocrakoke Island and all that pirate stuff and sea food on one side but you got mountains Maggie Valley, BBQ pork country cooking on the other and so much great riding in between. And all the people I've met and even the criminals were polite. Can't say enough about NC. I tried to transfer to Ashville but it didn't go through. I been to the Biltmore estate and Wheels through time. North Carolina is beautiful. Great great riding too. So you ain't really "stuck" Dean.

Ahhh the iron butt - seems to be a victim of economics right now. Maybe sometime.

I used to live in NC - I never did get to explore most of the state. Just the Raliegh/Durham area.

It sounds like the problem about going directly west from NJ in to Penn. - it takes forever to get through to another state after Penn.

If I go south and maybe west I'd hit a bunch of states, though.

it is quite diverse. i grew up in VA - or as i like to say... the greatest state in the union - and it was the same way. great mountains... nice flat ground... city... country... beaches... the only thing these two states don't have is frozen tundra and a desert. i still love VA but NC is growing on me. there's still something about crossing that line though.

what part of NC do you go through?

so far i've gotten to ride over to the beach and ride on the outer banks (ocrakoke, hatteras, nags head, etc.) that was some of the coolest riding i've done so far. i've yet to be able to take my bike to the mountains. hope to do that some time soon.

question for you if you've been through the state... which bbq do you like best? the vinegar based eastern nc bbq or the "mustard" based that's more to the west?

Hey Dean,

Well my whole family (father,brothers,uncles/Aunts cousins,neices nephews, aunts and my son in law/daughter/Grandson) live outside of Goldsboro. So when I am there we go to different places as part of the visit. This past May we road to Ashvile/Maggie Valley. This December we will be on Ocracoke Island. Last November we participated in both the Goldsboro and Greenville HD dealer chirtmas runs. That was a hoot as I had my grandson who was 4 in the sidecar w/ my wife and he had his very own "leather" biker jacket and helmet. He was cool man.

I am a Wilburs vinegar based BBQ guy. (With a side of fried gizzards and hush puppies). Through and through. Although I experienced this new thing in Statesville this past May called "liver mash", it looked and sounded spooky but I ate it and it was deliscious! Went real good with eggs over easy.

I just buy the magnets when I find them at truck stops. So far I am missing arkansas and Kentucky. I have been to both states but have been unable to find the magnets.
