86 Nighthawk 450 headlight went out

#1 Unread post by rickyh »

Hello, my friend bought a nighthawk 450 from a co-worker, the headlight went out on it.
The seller says it's not blown most likely because neither the high beam or low beam work. The fuse is good we know that.
What can I do to fix it ?

Have you tryed a new bulb? They are cheap. Check the fuses anyway. Check the wireing in the lighting circiut for bare spots that may be grounding out.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

light not working

On the newer bikes they have a reserve lighting unit. When this fails, neither of the lights will work, and it will look to be a good bulb. Happened to me on a Yamaha I had.
