the only way to reach(from what i have been told) the lower hose that goes into the motor is drop the trans. thats the problem. the upper hose i can see/reach just fine if i was to plug it there. but the lower one is supposed to be way under and blocked by the trans.old-n-slow wrote:PLug each hose where it comes out of the motor. It's not necessary to do it near to the heater, nor is it necessary to connect one outlet to the other.

well i finally got around to bypassing my heater core, i couldnt decide to pull the dash and replace it or not, so i went ahead and bypassed. wasnt bad at all took a 3 foot hose and some splicers and went from the hose coming out of the engine and routed it back down to the hose going back into the engine. ran it for about half an hour and had no leaks or over heating so im hoping i did it all correctly. im going to keep checking it for the next week just to be sure it all holds lol
also i need to find a way to drain the coolant out of the heater core. i was figuring hook up a heater hose to it and try to syphon it out or spray air/water into it from the other hose to flush it out so it wont continue to leak out behind the dash.
