If he would go down to $1500 I'd consider it. If he would do $1200 I'd take it for sure. That's only about 1500 miles per year, not bad for a bike that old. I'd buy that Ninja before I bought a Buell. They may have the Buell name but they're as cheap as it gets. I wouldn't trust it as a commuter but that's one man's opinion. The Ninja isn't even in the same class as the Buell. Again, my opinion only.
Do you have to use premium gas in these?Gunslinger wrote:If he would go down to $1500 I'd consider it. If he would do $1200 I'd take it for sure. No one but yourself could possibly answer that question for you. Insurance premiums are based on your location, age, sex, drivers history, and your coverage options. Typically, certain bikes like the EX500 and Buell Blast are fairly moderate to cheap for insurance being as they're both 500cc or less. And your rates will be much cheaper to insure a used one instead of brand new from a dealership.stryped wrote:Is insurance the same as a buell? or is it higherstryped wrote:Do you have to use premium gas in these?Gunslinger wrote:If he would go down to $1500 I'd consider it. I use progressive for motorcycle insurance, they've offered the most affordable rates in my area.

I just didnt know if being a "crotch rocket" The ninja would be considered somethign like a "sports car' and thereby more expensive to insure than the Buell.
Do you know if it has to use premium gas?
Awesome. Thanks for posting this!gsJack wrote:Here's a ten bike comparo of inexpensive bikes from the 03 Cycle World Buyer's Guide that includes the Blast, EX500, and GS500 and others any one of which could be a good first bike depending on the size of the rider.

I've been looking at cheap motorcycles as a first bike, and am thinking of getting a Roketa.

You don't need Premium gas for the ninja. I plan on getting a 500 as well. I haven't ridden in 12 years, so I am basically a n00blet again. LOL!stryped wrote:matthew5656 wrote:No one but yourself could possibly answer that question for you.
