And here I thought that the reason both were here was to pay the rent for the rest of Canada :P

Right........wasn't all that long ago when Alberta was one of the have-not Provinces, strange how oil and money changed that.
Always ask why.

Yep, about 61 years ago.... and before the equalization plan was introduced in 1957.
It's funny how bent out of shape folks get about Alberta having good times. It's kind of like the rest of Canada taking shots at Toronto when most have never been there. I would say that the regional posturing that our politicians have been pulling on this country is really starting to make the wounds real for much of the country. Too bad for Canada.

It could have been more special had you surprised us like the Doctor. I hear that it was almost a reality...... You too could have slept in the rain at the side of the TransCanada for a chance to see Skier with a Pig. Seeing as it worked for Dr.Bar, you can collect a free beer on me (substitute no alcholic bevy of choice here) if you actually make it out to one of these things in Cow-Town. Rain, lack of sleep and pigs are optional.......

I'm not afraid of a little rain. Yep...I actually had packed a bag, but then I found out he wasn't coming back until Tuesday. (My bag included a sleeping bag, too, so the chilly night wouldn't have posed a problem.

I will get there one of these days. There are a couple of more long weekends coming up.
