
Biking-wise, I'm a noob and an ATTGATT kind of girl. I haven't been on a charity or poker ride yet, but the pictures I've seen are full of people in t-shirts and jeans. From your experience, are riders in full gear an anomaly at these events?
Well. It seems that many of the folks that show up for "poker runs" aren't the most safety minded. Charity rides can go either way, a lot depends on who's sponsoring the event. Group rides can get ugly in a hurry - because you've got a lot of strangers to each other riding in very close quarters.
