Hi from new member

I am new to this whole sport. No bike yet, still looking while waiting for the next open MSF course (which in my area looks like sometime in December!) Would appreciate any suggestions about new vs. used and appropriate bikes for a short (5'2"), late-middle-aged woman who has been a passenger on a bike in her distant past but not in charge. I'm in Metro Atlanta, GA. Thanks, all!
