New to Motorcycles owning & riding

#1 Unread post by Yamaha Couple »

I am new to owning and riding my own motorcycle. :D

My husband just got back in to riding after a 20 year absence. He got my daughter and I to buy our own bike and learn to ride on our own. My daughter and I bought a 2003 Honda Rebel 250 cc and took the BRT class. She passed with flying color and I didn't (still not comfortable leaning) She bought her own bike on Fathers day and got a 2008 Buell Blast. The week after she bought it she went down on my Rebel coming home from work  and wouldn't get back on the motorcycle, we tried to sell her blast but she owes more then it is worth as she financed it with no money down. In the last 2 weeks she has gotten back on her blast and has put almost 50 miles on it just riding it around the area. She is loving it again. It will be a while till she is comfortable enough to take it to work but she is working up to it. I still have my Rebel and love riding by myself instead of being a passenger.

Howdy, and Welcome to the forum. I'm glad to see your daughter has decided to start riding again. Just take it easy and go at your own pace.

:welcome5:
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
